John Gardner – 30 Years at Argon Engineering

AGZ Group would like to celebrate John Gardner’s 30 years’ service at Argon Engineering.

Back in September 1986, John approached Gordon McCracken (owner and then Managing Director of Argon Engineering) looking for a start as a Fabricator. Unfortunately, there were no vacancies at that time but Gordon confirmed to John that the business was looking for an experienced Labourer. John accepted the position and after a month was made up to the position of full time Fabricator. A lot of water has passed under the bridge since then, from Labourer to Fabricator to Fabrication Chargehand to Works Manager, John has been involved front line as the business has evolved and developed in line with our customers’ demands, expectations and regulatory requirements.

Johns numerous achievements include Certification to the IOSH Managing Safely standard and being the competent Welding Inspector to BS EN 1090 standard.

Speaking to John about his time at Argon, he said “I don’t know where the 30 years have gone, but I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Argon Engineering and look forward to spending the rest of my working career contributing to the continued success of the business”

John, from all at AGZ Group, many thanks for your contribution to the business over the last 30 years and wishing you continued success.
