FLT Refresher Course

AGZ Group employees being put through their paces during another recent FLT refresher course.

AGZ Group have invested in RTITB Instructor training for one of our employees, allowing us to reduce training costs by carrying out our own in-house FLT training for our operators.

AGZ Group are committed to investing in training for all our employees, ensuring high competence levels and lower risks in our operations.

CSWIP Visual Welding Inspectors Course

Congratulations to Stevie Gilchrist of Argon Engineering, who has successfully completed the CSWIP Visual welding inspectors course and became an Associate member of the Welding Institute.

Argon Engineering provide structural steelwork services and in order to do so legally we must be accredited to BS EN 1090 – 1.

Having our own on site Responsible Welding Coordinator to inspect our welding procedures allows us to provide a full quality package and CE marking of our components to our customers as per the standard requirements.

This training demonstrates AGZ Groups willingness to invest in our own employees competences and provide the quality of service our customers require – we wish Stevie all the best in his new role as RWC!

SVQ Completion

Argon Engineering are pleased to announce that our contracts Manager, Stevie Gilchrist has successfully completed an SVQ in Construction Site Management: Building & Civil Engineering.

Stevie has worked over a couple of years to achieve this qualification, through a mixture of day release and on the job evidence.

This qualification covers areas such as developing and maintaining good working relationships; establishing, implementing and maintaining systems for managing health, safety and welfare; monitoring project activities; organising, controlling and monitoring supplies of materials; and controlling project quantities and costs.

This demonstrates Stevie’s competence in controlling all aspects of site projects and ensures Argon Engineering delivers the highest possible service to its customers.

IOSH Managing Safely

AGZ Group are pleased to announce that Paul Lynch & Craig MacLean, of Argon Engineering, have successfully completed the IOSH Managing Safely Course.

This certification demonstrates AGZ Group’s continuous improvement strategy and commitment to employee development and workplace health and safety.

World Mental Health Day

As part of World Mental Health Day in October, all AGZ Group Managers and Supervisors completed Mental Health Awareness Training for Employers.

AGZ Group are committed to supporting all aspects of our employees wellbeing and our open door policy encourages all employees to be able to speak to any of our senior staff should they feel the need to.

 

Confined Space Training – Argon Engineering

During September and October, a further six Argon Engineering employees completed confined space training.

This training provides our engineers with an in-depth understanding of the requirements of the law, associated legislation, Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments.

AGZ Group are committed to ensuring all staff receive quality training to ensure they are fully competent to carry out all tasks safely.

 

 

Argon Engineering Training

Well done to Apprentice, Marshall Laing and Fabricator, Craig Smith of Argon Engineering, for successfully completing the IPAF 3a & 3b training.

This training allows our engineers to safely operate mobile elevated work platforms. These are essential pieces of access equipment that allow us to reach awkward areas and work at height safely to carry out a range of repair, maintenance and install works on our customer sites.

Argon Engineering are committed to ensuring all staff receive quality training to ensure they are fully competent to carry out all tasks safely.
