Modern Apprenticeship Completion

Congratulations to Chris Cupples of Zeus Engineering, on completion of his four year Modern Apprenticeship.

Over this four year period, Chris has achieved certification to HNC level in Manufacturing Engineering and also Level 3 Modern Apprenticeship in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering (CNC Machining).

Everyone at AGZ Group wishes Chris an enjoyable and successful career in the continuous developing/improving industry of CNC Machining.

Confined Space Certification

Well done to Andrew Strawbridge of Argon Engineering, for successfully completing the Confined Space training course.

This training provides our engineers with an in-depth understanding of the requirements of the law, associated legislation, Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments.

Internal Auditor Certification

AGZ Group are pleased to announce that Group HSEQ Manager Scott Averall, has successfully completed the ISO 45001:2018 Internal Auditor course.

Attaining this qualification ensures AGZ Group’s impending transition to the new occupational health and safety standard is continually reviewed internally by a competent member of staff.

This certification once again demonstrates AGZ Group’s continuous improvement strategy and our commitment to health and safety  throughout our business.

Stevie Gilchrist – Argon Engineering

Argon Engineering are pleased to welcome on board Stevie Gilchrist, as their new Contracts Manager.

Stevie brings with him a wealth of experience in the fabrication sector and project management, and will assist the rest of the management team in continuing to deliver a high level of service to new and existing customers.

Craig Maclean Certification

Fabricator/Welder Craig Maclean, of Argon Engineering has renewed his IPAF training certification and has upgraded to the dual 3a 3b ticket, allowing access from mobile booms and scissor lifts while on site.

Argon Engineering are committed to ensuring all staff receive quality training to ensure they are fully competent to carry out all tasks safely.

Reid Truesdale Certification

Well done to Argon Engineering Apprentice Reid Truesdale, for successfully completing both the IPAF 3a & 3b training, as well as the Confined Space training course.

This is in preparation for starting site work.

Zeus Engineering are delighted to announce the arrival of our new Doosan Puma GT3100M.

Continuous investment in new technology, increasing our capability, with the introduction of Capto Live Spindle Tooling for some of our smaller high volume components.

Ryan Meechan Certification

Well done to Ryan Meechan of Argon Engineering, for successfully completing the IPAF 3a & 3b training.

This training allows our engineers to safely operate mobile elevated work platforms. These are essential pieces of access equipment that allow us to reach awkward areas and work at height safely to carry out a range of repair, maintenance and install works on our customer sites.

First Aid Certification

The AGZ Group would like to congratulate Paul Whelan and Lewis Hamilton (of Zeus Engineering) on completion of their recent First Aid course by Albacare. This course was in compliance with Health and Safety (First Aid) regulations 1981.

First Aid training stresses the importance of practising safety at all times to prevent accidents and emergencies. An increased safety consciousness helps the employees to work carefully and avoid accidents. this directly make the working environment a lot safer place to be.
