Abrasive Wheels Training

Argon Fleet

AGZ Group have added two new additions to the Argon fleet.

These brand new Transit Connect vans will be primarily used by our Supervisors, Jason and Darren, to provide support for engineers and to liaise with customers on site.

These vehicles will cover our network of sites across Scotland.

Scotland Works

AGZ Groups HSEQ Manager, Scott Averall, last week attended the Scotland Works event at the SECC in Glasgow and IIRSM West of Scotland Branch meeting.

Supported by Health and Safety Scotland, Facilities Scotland and Fire Safety Scotland, the annual event at the SECC allows safety professionals to gain new skills through seminars and discussion groups, gives access to a wide range of safety products and is a great networking opportunity.

Septembers IIRSM meeting also allowed for a networking opportunity as well as an open and informative presentation on asbestos awareness.

AGZ group look forward to being able to host one of the future branch meetings.

Riding for the Disabled

Argon Engineering were delighted to help our Training Partner John O’Brian, with a donation of £1000 to help support Gareloch Riding for the Disabled which his Granddaughter attends, in developing a chariot track.

Johns Son-in-Law, Ian Ward put in a tremendous amount of work fundraising and seeing the project through to fruition.

Pictured above is Johns Granddaughter Mia with her father Ian, at the opening ceremony of the new track on 31st August.

AGZ Group Promotion

Congratulations to Scott Averall, pictured above, on his promotion to HSEQ Manager within the AGZ Group.

Since assuming the role of HSEQ Advisor 18 months ago, Scott has driven significant changes in our health and safety, quality, environmental and operational procedures proving to be key in delivering our overall business strategy, vision and standardisation of processes throughout the group.

Sponsorship – Mongol Rally 2018

Gillrick Metalwork were pleased to support Chris Carlin, Calam Mcleod and Daniel Parrot who are competing in the Mongol Rally 2018 to raise funds for both MND Scotland and CHAS.

Gillrick Metalwork provided the team with a special roof rack to hold spare tyres and fuel cans.

AGZ Apprenticeships

AGZ group are committed to investing in the future, creating local jobs and developing our workforce through modern apprenticeship schemes.

Our apprentices will gain their skills in a mixture of disciplines including Sheet Metal Working, Welding and Fabrication and Precision Engineering.

AGZ Group are delighted to announce that Argon Engineering has successfully achieved accreditation to the ISO 9001:2015 Standard.

This success demonstrates AGZ Group’s continuous improvement strategy and our commitment to quality throughout our business.
